MEET ABBY
I first found my way into the birth world when I was 18, working as a birth center cleaner at Holly No.7 in Maine, while living with my oldest sister, Anna. I’m one of seven sisters, so pregnancy, birth, and postpartum were always part of life growing up. But it wasn’t until I watched Anna, a home birth midwife, support families through birth that something truly clicked. Her path felt deeply meaningful, like she had uncovered something sacred about birth that I’d never known. It quietly sparked something in me—a deep curiosity that hasn’t gone out since. In 2023, I had the honor of supporting Anna during the home birth of my youngest niece. Witnessing a family-centered birth up close and watching women’s intuition unfold was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. It awakened a calling I couldn’t ignore. I’m a woman of many passions, so the path to birth work wasn't a straight line—but it inevitably led me here, and I’m so glad it did, this work feels challenging, beautiful and worth while. I completed my doula training with Intentional Birth Pro, led by Alicia Fishbein and Meredith Nelson. Their program sharpened my focus on advocacy, physiology, and community support and gave me the opportunity to learn from birth experts around the world: Midwives, Doulas, Doctors and Researchers.Today, I’m honored to support families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum with evidence-based, grounded care.

MY PRACTICE
Connecting with others has always been close to my heart. For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt a strong pull to empower women—my Dad, the Father of seven daughters, always said that he wanted us to be confident and independent women, maybe some of that pull comes from that narrative so ingrained in me. Nevertheless, I’ve always been drawn to the kind of growth that comes from pushing yourself past your limits in a way that feels physically and emotionally safe, then gently returning to yourself. Birth, to me, is exactly that: one of life’s most intimate, raw, and transformational experiences yet one that’s often under-supported. As we work together, we’ll begin by tuning into your values and move forward from that heart space. I truly believe you are in the driver’s seat, and everyone else—including me—is just riding shotgun. My role is to be a steady, calming presence, to offer guidance when needed, and to fiercely protect your vision and voice, just like a loving sister would. I believe you already know what’s best for your birth, your baby, and your body. My job is to reflect that truth back to you, and to support you in the decisions you find peace with. I’ll also help your partner feel prepared, connected, and confident because they are often the fiercest protector in the room. As part of this journey, you’ll move through the Intentional Birth Parent Program, a self-paced, in-depth course created by my own mentors. I’ll be your guide as we unpack it together—someone to walk beside you, answer questions, and help everything land in a way that feels empowering and personal.
Thoughtful and steady support through every stage
PRENATAL SUPPORT
& Childbirth Education
I offer holistic, robust, and self-paced childbirth education through Intentional Birth—a program that includes 20 hours of video content and a 200-page workbook covering topics like physiological birth, advocacy, unexpected outcomes, movement, nutrition, the fourth trimester, and more!
As your guide, I’ll help you unpack it all in a way that feels personal and empowering. Together, we’ll build trust, explore values, work through fears, practice labor positions, review the current research and create a birth plan that aligns with your vision.

BIRTH & LABOR SUPPORT
Starting in active labor, I offer in-person birth support. You can expect a calm, grounded presence—someone within reach if you need me, but hands-off in ways that support you as the leader of your birth.
I’m there to help you find comfortable labor positions, apply comfort measures, and hold your space in alignment with your vision—whether that means dimming the lights, advocating gently or fiercely, offering words of encouragement, or even playing Dutch Blitz to help cope with contractions. Hey, whatever works! My role is to help you feel present, protected, and powerful throughout your birth.
POSTPARTUM SUPPORT
The fourth trimester is different for everyone. Some babies sleep easily, others don’t. Some latch right away, others never do. You might feel joyful and in love with your baby, and you might feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and not “in love with motherhood” every moment and that’s all normal.
I’m here to remind you of that, and to help you care for yourself too. Whether it’s holding your baby while you nap, making a nourishing meal, or rubbing your feet while you process your birth—I’m there as a gentle, affirming friend.
